The Bigger They Get

Mothering is tougher than I thought.
I imagined that when my kids were 24 and up,
my mothering would pretty much be over.

It's never been this tough.
"The bigger they get
The bigger the problems."
I have heard.

I thought it but a cute retort.

Brave the storm.
Was a breeze.
This, more a cyclone.

Just some peace.
Some smooth sailing.
A vacation that lasts
More than a day.
