In The Age of Android Covid

 So Thanksgiving Sucked

Christmas looks to be similar

I guess they think we are dependent

on family

Are we

they think we are motivated by

modems we have created thru ages

But, we aren't We are motivated by

keeping us together

any which way you can

Spirit runs deep

even tho they may "Bleep"

It's like the ship out to sea

We see

Do you?

Joseph of Arimathea found a place

to put Him.

And so will we in our hearts

Our spirits are floating out there.

They exist without them

Without their definitions.

We do survive.

And will.

Access Emergency Food

How to Access Emergency Food Assistance During COVID-19 Mitigation
Given the statewide mitigation efforts in Pennsylvania to prevent spread and exposure to COVID-19, the PA Department of Agriculture's Bureau of Food Assistance offers the following guidance regarding how to access emergency food assistance if you are experiencing food insecurity for any reason related to COVID-19.
Who is eligible to get food from a food bank or food pantry?
If you are out of work without pay, you are eligible to receive food sourced from the state and federal government from a food bank or food pantry in Pennsylvania. This includes service workers who are unable to get shifts or hourly wage employees of non-essential businesses that have voluntarily closed due to COVID-19 mitigation. You will be asked to verbally complete a Self-Declaration of Need form, as signatures have been temporarily waived due to COVID-19. (Forms are also available in Spanish and Russian.) You will be asked to provide your household size and weekly income level as of the day you apply.
Will food banks be open?
Food banks are open and delivering food to many agencies, including pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens. Please call or visit the website of your regional food bank to be directed to agencies in your community.  Many food banks are also doing special drive-through distributions. Please call for more information.
Where can I find a food bank or food pantry near me?
Contact the following Feeding PennsylvaniaOpens In A New Window and Hunger-Free PennsylvaniaOpens In A New Window member food banks to find out about food assistance services being offered in your county. You can find a food pantry near you using the Department of Human Services' map.

How do I get food from a food bank if I can't leave my house because I am under isolation or quarantine?
If you or a family member is under isolation or quarantine, contact your local food bank to see if they have options to deliver food. If you are concerned about potential exposure, there are steps you and food banks can take to limit risk. The PA Department of Agriculture sent guidance to all food banks encouraging them to follow best practices to limit risk of exposure.
What do I do if my local food pantry is closed?
You can go to another food pantry in your area, using the links above. We recommend checking with your local food bank to ensure other local food pantries are open.
How will students access meals while schools are closed?
The Pennsylvania Department of Education offers information on accessing meals on its website.

Sunday Service 4-19-2020

You can watch church services here Christ Church Grove Farm

I watched the 9 O'clock service. Love the sermon. Here are my very rough notes:
Gen 37 -50
Gen: 37:1-2
Joseph has two dreams
Meant for Good
What do we do when our dreams appear to be lost
When we cannot see God?
Shattered dreams and the nature of God
Joseph is a shepherd, his flock is his brothers
1.       Joseph was pampered 2. Is a man of God (1Kings 19:19)
Dreams: Means of God speaking to them ( Gen. 20)  Dream down to earth …the sheaves of grain
One more upward…dreams of power gains, family saved,
Vs. 1-11  favorite child, dreams grandiosely skilled apprentice shepherd and has a coat

Vs 18  He went to check on his brothers Dreamer lives life with grand intentions. Brothers call him a dreamer, they mean one empowered by prophetic dreams. Expressed knowledge about future….people did not like this, the prophets were treated violently, so do Joseph’s brothers treat him. The rejection of Joseph is rejection of prophecy and God. (They sell Joseph to Ishmalites.
Do you think that Joseph had purpose and preferential treatment? Do you feel this way now? Do you feel like YOU have a future.

Vs. 31  Brothers took back Joseph’s bloody robe. His father Jacob mourns. Sheoul…I will join my son in  Sheoul.  Un healthy mourning. How are you dealing with loss? Do you refuse to be comforted. Is your gaze downward?  The question is Where is God?  He is not mentioned in vs. 27. God’s leadership, though hidden is the real story of this
In a time of knowing so much and doing so much, what does it mean to trust in God?
1.       The purposes of God are at work in ways that can seem to be hidden and unnoticed.
2.       The ways of God are at work regardless of human attitudes or actions.
3.       God is visualized as working through day to day people and events.
4.       4. We can trust God works his way his ways will come to fruition

Romans 8:28 God works for good to those who love him who have been called according to His purpose.
A loss of plans, opportunities….You love a God who works all things for good. Joseph helps us to be assured.
Vs. 9  God is there: Then he had another dream the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me…..almost blasphemy, it’s not the bowing points to Jesus Christ. Every knee will bow and every tongue  confess.
1Pet. 1: 6-8   There is a dream that is spoken over us. We dream about the promise and eternal hope we have in Jesus. It’s bigger than a world pandemic. We have eternal hope in Christ.
Go has not abandoned the dream Bow before Jesus and believe in him the eternal life of Christ.

Just an Idea

I think that looting and robbery could be down the lane.To avert or at least reduce the possibility, each community should utilize their local fire hall to collect non perishable food.
Stockpile for the event. Then when things become dire or just before
have a distribution of food. Continue to collect and replenish supplies as needed.

Prayer for These Times

Our pastor asked us to pray this prayer everyday. Please do this. "If my people which are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chron. 7:14
